JCB POWERSYSTEMS The investment made in developing and manufacturing the JCB engine is the biggest ever committed to a single programme by JCB - over £80M to date.
Production Facilities
The JCB Power Systems factory: a brand new, multi-million-pound, state-of-the-art manufacturing plant and assembly line, is situated in Foston, Derbyshire. The facility currently occupies 95,000 square feet and employs over 100 people. Since production of the JCB DieselMax diesel engine commenced, over 40,000 units have been produced. Daily production of the JCB DieselMax engine is now in excess of 120 units.
Manufacturing Quality
A ‘no faults forward’ system is utilised on the engine assembly line. This system prevents any engine to proceed to the next manufacturing stage until the previous one has been achieved to perfection.
Testing Facilities
The JCB Power Systems factory also houses testing facilities which allow the JCB DieselMax engines to be put through their paces, allowing for the most productive and reliable diesel engine available in the market-place today.
