Our flame protection package will prevent the ignition of vapour or gas by reducing the surface temperature of the engine, preventing overspeed scenarios and eliminating sparks.

The engine specifically meets the EU legislation known as ATEX and complies to both directives - ATEX 1999/92/EC and ATEX 94/9/EC and associated safety standards.

Flame proof equipment includes:-

Automatic hydro mechanical fault shut-off system
Air inlet shut-off valve
Inlet flame trap flange mounted to special inlet manifold
Fuel shut-off valve for overspeed
Manual fault reset and start bypass
Emergency stop lever
Throttle control cable and fuel pump mechanical stop
Integral jacket water-cooled exhaust gas manicooler
